Sencha Matcha

Organic green tea

Introduced to Japan by Buddhist monks at the end of the first millenium, Matcha is used traditionally for the tea ceremony.

Three weeks before the leaves are picked, the tea bushes are shaded to allow them to develop a tea with an extremely gentle, silky, milky flavour.

Finely pulverized, Matcha is delicately mixed with Sencha tea needles, to give a round and gentle liqueur that the Japanese call umami (flavourful).
